Transport Data Initiative

To better understand the availability of transport and climate data in Asia, the project aims to determine the status quo for transport data in India, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Pakistan, China, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. A survey will be conducted based on an analysis of existing data sources to determine:

    • Institutional responsibility for data collection, management and dissemination
    • The frequency and reliability of data collected
    • Existing quality assurance mechanisms employed by institutions in the collection of data;
    • Current budgets in collecting existing data.
