The United Nations Centre for Regional Development’s holds annual Environmentally Sustainable Transport (EST) Forums, bringing senior transport and environment officials from 22 Asian countries. At the 5th EST Forum, countries adopted the Bangkok 2020 Declaration with sustainable transport goals for 2010-2020.
CAI-Asia is a supporting organization to the EST Forum and
- Organizes sessions on fuel economy standards, green freight, 2- and 3-wheelers, transport indicators, etc.
- Prepares background papers on green freight including
- Prepares a background paper on “Data and Indicators for Sustainable Transport under the Bangkok 2020 Declaration”
