Clean Air Asia prepared a background document entitled "Climate Change Plans and Infrastructure in Asian Cities: A Survey of Plans and Priorities" which described the current state of climate change related activities and urban infrastructure investments in Asian cities, and serve as a basis for determining where demand for climate change related infrastructure project exists.
The background document answered these three questions:
- Is climate change given priority in policies, plans and investments?
- Where does the focus lie in relation to climate change mitigation and adaptation?
- Are there already infrastructure investments made or planned in relation to climate change?
The study conducted a baseline survey, in how far cities in Asia-Pacific have prioritized climate change related, both adaptation and mitigation, urban infrastructure and investment activities.
