Objectives:
The Asia Trans project: « Improving public transit in Hanoi through 3 model bus lines » is part of the European programme Asia Urbs, which promotes decentralised cooperation partneships between European and Asian municipalities.
Asia Trans is an initiative that was created by the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Paris Ile-de-France Region, in collaboration with the Brussels Capital Region. The project has been in operation since October 2002, and will continue until March 2005. The official launching of the Asia Trans project took place on November 11, 2002, in the presence of Jean-Paul Huchon, the President of the Ile de France Regional Council.
Objectives: Capacity building environmental friendly transport systems and operation; transfer of know how and best practice between European cities and Hanoi
