The School of Futures Studies and Planning, a University Teaching Department under the Faculty of Engineering Sciences was established in the year 1990 to run M.Tech. programme in Future Studies and Planning. It was the first M.Tech. level programme in Future Studies and Planning duly recognized by AICTE, New Delhi in the country. The school has also started another M.Tech. programme in Systems Management duly recognized by AICTE, New Delhi from the year 2005.
Aims & Objectives :
a. The nature of global change, its rapid pace, and its ever increasing complexity.
b. An understanding of the forces and trends that shape the future.
c. The systemic and multi-disciplinary approach to managing organizational strategies so as to create desired future the issues related with Technology Management.
d. Train manpower in an emerging area of systems engineering and strategic
management.
e. Train manpower which can provide IT solutions for complex socio- economical and
socio-technological problems by using systems approach.
f. Design, model, analyze and manage modern complex systems.
