1st Yangtze River Delta Clean Air Forum was held as a special session of "2nd Conference of Sino-US Regional and Urban Air Quality Management on PM2.5 and Ozone", with the collaboration with Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences(SAES), on 20June, 2012 at Shanghai Majesty Plaza.

The Special Session aims to establish a platform for stakeholders within the Yangze River Delta (YRD) Region to explore potential approaches and solutions to air quality management challenges within the Region. As agreed upon during the 1st YRD Working Group Meeting in Hangzhou on 8 May, 2012, this Special Session will focus on improving emissions inventory and PM2.5 and VOC monitoring systems for RAQM policy development and exploring city clean air reports as a tool for effective public communication. This Special Session is structured into two aspects: 1) updates of AQM status in YRD; 2) discussion/consensus buidling on next steps for collaboration.
