Objectives:
The main objective of the project is to meet the growing transportation need of Hanoi city and to contribute to the socio-economic development of the city by diminishing transport congestion through the construction of:

• 15.2 km underground railway route passing through the center of Hanoi;
• 14 railway stations;
• 1 depot and maintenance workshop in Tu Liem District.
