The Eco-Fleet Cluster of the Philippine Climate Imperative, a private sector initiative – which aims to reduce pollution from vehicle fleets will be organizing an Eco-fleet 101 Workshop on August 5, 2010 at Unit 3504-05, 35th Floor, Robinson’s –Equitable Tower Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The workshop aims to provide knowledge to fleet managers on how they can move towards achieving cleaner fleets.
The Eco-Fleet Cluster of the Philippine Climate Imperative, led by the Lopez Group of Companies, supported by the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities, the Philippine Business for the Environment (PBE) and the Partnership for Clean Air (PCA) is organizing this workshop to assist participating companies in taking the first steps towards having cleaner and more efficient vehicle fleets.
The workshop is designed for companies who desire to measure and subsequently reduce emissions from their vehicle fleets. It aims to familiarize participants with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Clean Fleet Management Toolkit which they can use to assess the environmental impacts of their fleets and select, as well as weigh options for potential clean fleet management measures that they can implement with special emphasis on low-cost and easy-to-implement measures such as eco-driving and vehicle maintenance.
