Strategic Framework For Air Quality Management in Asia

This Strategic Framework (SF) on Air Quality Management in the Asian Region aims to provide a regional approach to improving urban air quality by facilitating the setting of air quality priorities and providing direction on institutional development and capacity enhancement. The SF is being proposed by the Air Pollution in the Megacities of Asia (APMA) project and the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia).

The Strategic Framework was launched at a Special Event co-hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea (MoE-Korea) and UNEP on 31 March 2004 at the Eighth Special Session of the Governing Council of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)/Global Ministerial Environment Forum (held in Jeju, Republic of Korea)
