This second edition of Perspectives explores how the CDM can be improved as negotiators prepare for a post 2012 climate agreement.

Seventeen leading contributors from the private sector, Designated National Authorities, the Executive Board, research and development agencies present each their perspective on how to meet challenges such as an unequal regional distribution of CDM projects, concerns about environmental integrity and technology transfer, complex governance procedures, and questions about the CDM's contribution to sustainable development. Proposing new ideas and solutions to these challenges the publication seeks to better inform the decisions of professionals and policy makers in the lead-up to COP 15 in Copenhagen and beyond.

Perspectives 2008 will be launched at the UNEP Risø side event 'Emerging capacity development needs and the way forward for the CDM' on December 4 in Poznan, 15-18, Blue Room, Poznan International Fair, Conference Centre.
