  • Drawing from its experience in working with national governments to promote cleaner fuels and vehicles in Asia, a Clean Fuels and Vehicles Forum in the ASEAN Region was organized by Clean Air Asia last 5 November in cooperation with the Singapore National Environment Agency to: a) enable support for in-country implementation of policies and strategies; b) facilitate learning from peers and experts of emerging issues and topics of concern in the region; and c) promote harmonization of policies and standards at the regional level.

The forum is designed for ASEAN senior officials from the energy, environment and transport ministries to gain wider access to policy strategies for cleaner fuels and efficient vehicles. This forum is also aligned with the Brunei Action Plan and the Bangkok Declaration 2020 implementation and is envisioned to support the efforts of the ASEAN working groups on Land transport, Environment, and Energy.

The 1st Clean Fuels and Vehicles Forum in the ASEAN Region was preceded by the Clean Environment Regulators Roundtable organized by the National Environment Agency of Singapore.
